Sorry, but I think you may have lost your bet with Jackie Figueroa.
(scion with larger girth would not graft with rootstock with smaller girth)

Those of you who went grafting at Lompoc High.... will quickly remember the bet that we made with Jackie Figueroa, the girl who grafted a very large scion onto a small root. I bet a can of Pepsi that it would NOT grow.
